Weekly update: August 12th

Happy Wednesday everyone, hope you all are enjoying your summer as much and as safely possible during these times. On our end, the Saigon is coming together really well and we have some exciting news, so let’s begin another Modmo Weekly Update.

MUDGUARDS PROTOTYPE

This past weekend we prototyped and took our new Mudguards out for a test ride, in quite heavy conditions. They performed extremely well and we really like the way the design is coming together with the rest of the bike. See the video above (0:21) for a peek at our preproduction prototype Mudguards, which are included at no extra cost on every Saigon.

UPGRADED SADDLE

As mentioned in Jack’s recent Walk-Through Video with the Saigon, we have upgraded our saddle! We have our new Modmo designed saddle with additional cushioning for extra support and comfort, an especially nice feature for those of you looking to really push the Saigon 200km and beyond!

FRONT HEADLIGHT

Another nice update, we’re nearing completion of our Front Headlight and Lens for the Saigon. We were able to optimize the brightness and light distribution to ensure safe and easy riding, and we really like how the design is coming along with this feature too. See the video above (1:13) for a look at our latest prototype.

TEAM MODMO

Never done growing here at Modmo. Finding and hiring great talent that aligns with our values and mission is another job in itself.

With that said, we are very excited to welcome three new members to our team, giving a big boost to our Engineering and Technical Development Departments. It’s really nice to see how our whole team is coming together!

Einen schönen Mittwoch wünsche ich euch allen und hoffe, dass ihr euren Sommer zu diesen Zeiten so gut und sicher wie möglich genießt. Bei uns kommt das Saigon wirklich gut voran und wir haben einige spannende Neuigkeiten, also lasst uns ein weiteres Modmo Weekly Update starten.

SCHUTZBLECH PROTOTYP

Am vergangenen Wochenende haben wir einen Prototyp gebaut und unsere neuen Schutzbleche zu einer Testfahrt unter ziemlich heftigen Bedingungen mitgenommen. Sie haben extrem gut funktioniert, und uns gefällt die Art und Weise, wie das Design mit dem Rest des Bikes zusammenpasst. Seht euch das Video oben an (0:21) , um einen Blick auf unsere Pre-Produktions-Prototypen-Schutzbleche zu werfen, die bei jedem Saigon ohne Aufpreis dabei sind.

VERBESSERTER SATTEL

Wie Jacks bereits im aktuellem Walk-Through Video mit dem Saigon erwähnt hat, haben wir unseren Sattel verbessert! Unser neuer, von Modmo entworfener Sattel mit zusätzlicher Polsterung bietet mehr Halt und Komfort. Das ist ein besonders schönes Feature für diejenigen von euch, die das Saigon bis zu 200km und darüber hinausfahren wollen!

FRONTSCHEINWERFER

Ein weiteres schönes Update: wir nähern uns der Fertigstellung unseres Frontscheinwerfers und der Linse für das Saigon. Wir konnten die Helligkeit und die Lichtverteilung optimieren, um ein sicheres und einfaches Fahren zu gewährleisten. Uns gefällt auch, wie das Design mit diesem Feature einhergeht (1:13)!

TEAM MODMO

Wir sind nie fertig damit, bei Modmo zu wachsen. Diejenigen Talente zu finden und einzustellen, die mit unseren Werten und unserer Mission übereinstimmen, ist eine Aufgabe für sich. 

Wir freuen uns sehr, drei neue Mitglieder in unserem Team willkommen zu heißen, die unsere Abteilungen für Technik und technische Entwicklung erheblich verstärken werden. Es ist wirklich schön zu sehen, wie unser ganzes Team zusammenkommt!
