Modular Mounts & Pannier Rack Prototype
This week we have an update for you on our mod-accessories for the Saigon bikes. First up is our prototype of the pannier rack. Check out the video to catch a glimpse of it and see how easy it is to mount on the frame.
Modular Mounts
As you know, one of the key features of the Saigon bikes and the innovation we bring with them is the integrated modular mounts and the accessories that attach here. It is something we’ve been working on for a long time and we are delighted to say that over the coming weeks we will be presenting these to you one by one. Starting this week, we have our first prototype of the pannier rack.
The Pannier Rack
Combined with the mod-mount it allows you transform the Saigon’s sleek looking city setup into a more versatile version, where you can pack the different gear you need for a longer trip or load it up with groceries next time you’re at the supermarket on your way home from work. The rack is made of aluminum, so it is light weight and we have anodized the metal so the surface is more scratch resistant. Watch the video to see how easily Martin clips the rack onto the Saigon S.
Loading it up
For for carrying stuff on the rack, we are developing a set of side bags as well as bungee cords that attach neatly into the holes on the top. As you can see in the video, there’s three nipples with grooves on each side of the rack. They function as fix points to hang the bag on. We have made them magnetic so clipping the bag on and off is a smooth experience. And of course, when you do not need the pannier rack you are able to take if off again just as easily as it is to put on.
Ready for adventure with more mods
With the pannier rack on the way, the Saigon bikes are ready for the longer adventures, the beach days or for bringing home a good load of beers for the weekend. All in a super convenient and secure way. What we really love about the modular concept is how easy it is to clip on and off the accessories depending on what fits each day. So we are excited about more mods coming along soon, so stay tuned for more updates on these.

Diese Woche haben wir ein Update für euch über unser Mod-Zubehör für die Saigon Bikes. Als erstes gibt es unseren Prototyp des Gepäckträgers. Schaut euch das Video an, um einen Blick darauf zu werfen und zu sehen, wie einfach er auf den Rahmen zu montieren ist.
Modulare Halterungen
Wie ihr wisst, ist eines der Hauptmerkmale der Saigon Bikes und der Innovation, die wir mit ihnen mitbringen, die integrierten modularen Halterungen und das Zubehör, das hier befestigt wird. Daran haben wir lange gearbeitet und wir freuen uns, euch diese in den kommenden Wochen Stück für Stück vorstellen zu können. Diese Woche haben wir unseren ersten Prototyp des Gepäckträgers.
Der Gepäckträger
Kombiniert mit der Mod-Halterung könnt ihr das elegante Stadt-Setup des Saigons in eine vielseitigere Version verwandeln. Ihr könnt die verschiedensten Sachen einpacken, die ihr für eine längere Reise braucht, oder sie mit Lebensmitteln beladen, wenn ihr das nächste Mal auf dem Heimweg von der Arbeit im Supermarkt seid. Das Gestell ist aus Aluminium, daher ist es leicht und wir haben das Metall eloxiert, damit die Oberfläche kratzfester ist. Schaut euch das Video an, um zu sehen, wie einfach Martin das Gestell auf das Saigon S anbringt.
Loading it up
Für das Tragen von Sachen auf dem Gepäckträger entwickeln wir ein Set von Seitentaschen sowie Bungee-Schnüre, die ordentlich in die Löcher auf der Oberseite gesteckt werden. Wie ihr im Video sehen könnt, gibt es auf jeder Seite des Gestells drei Stellen mit Rillen. Sie dienen als Fixpunkte, an denen die Tasche aufgehängt werden kann. Wir haben sie magnetisch gemacht, so dass das An- und Abklippen der Tasche erleichert ist. Natürlich könnt ihr den Gepäckträger, wenn ihr ihn nicht braucht, genauso einfach wieder abnehmen.
Bereit für das Abenteuer mit mehr Mods
Mit dem Gepäckträger unterwegs sind die Saigon Bikes bereit für die längeren Abenteuer, die Strandtage oder um eine gute Ladung Bier für das Wochenende mit nach Hause zu bringen. Alles auf eine super bequeme und sichere Weise. Was wir an dem modularen Konzept wirklich lieben, ist, wie einfach es ist, das Zubehör an- und abzuklippen, je nachdem, wie es jeden Tag passt. Wir freuen uns also schon auf weitere Mods, die demnächst erscheinen werden, also bleibt dran für weitere Updates dazu.
