Weekly update: August 26th

Hello again, I am on holiday but have been in close contact with the team and have a couple of updates for you, so let’s get started with our MODMO Weekly Update.

REMOVABLE BATTERY

One of the many well thought out utility features that separates the Saigon from the pack, is our massive Panasonic 17.5Ah lithium-ion battery which not only provides you with up to 200km of pedal-assisted power, but is also fully integrated and easily removable. As you can see in the video above, when we say “removable”, we mean “removable”. This doesn’t mean you need a bike mechanic to help you remove it but instead that you can actually remove it yourself with ease. While we don’t expect you to need to charge your battery that often, this is a great feature, giving you a secondary charging option should you not want to charge directly through the front Modular Mount.

SAIGON PRODUCTION TIMELINE

We just received news from our factory that our first batch of 100 Saigon frames is still on schedule to be fully completed and in our hands next week. We have a few more processes to do before the frames are complete, such as smoothing out the welds, applying our custom ModGlow paint and adding an extra layer of scratch-resistant paint. We literally have parts and components coming in every day as we move closer to our final stage of assembling the complete bikes before they’re shipped off. Really exciting stuff and we’ll obviously keep you all closely updated as we keep moving full steam ahead!

PRICE INCREASE

Next week brings a new month and as scheduled, another slight price increase for the Saigon. Our current €600 discount will be reduced to €500. This is still an incredible value and all pre-order incentives will remain, so once again, now is the best time to reserve your Saigon with a fully refundable deposit today!

HERAUSNEHMBARE BATTERIE

Eines der vielen gut durchdachten nützlichen Features, die das Saigon von den anderen unterscheidet, ist unsere massive Panasonic 17,5Ah Lithium-Ionen-Batterie. Sie liefert dir nicht nur bis zu 200km pedalunterstützte Leistung, sondern ist auch voll integriert und leicht abnehmbar. Wie du in dem Video oben sehen kannst, wenn wir ” herausnehmbar” sagen, meinen wir auch “herausnehmbar”. Das bedeutet nicht, dass du einen Fahrradmechaniker benötigst, der dir beim Ausbau hilft, sondern dass du sie tatsächlich mit Leichtigkeit selbst herausnehmen kannst. Wir erwarten zwar nicht, dass du deine Batterie so oft aufladen musst, aber das ist ein großartiges Feature. Es bietet dir eine sekundäre Ladeoption, falls du nicht direkt durch die vordere modulare Halterung laden möchtest.

SAIGON PRODUKTIONS-ZEITPLAN

Wir haben gerade die Nachricht aus unserer Fabrik erhalten, dass unsere erste Ladung von 100 Saigon-Rahmen noch im Zeitplan liegt. Nächste Woche werden sie vollständig fertig gestellt sein und in unseren Händen liegen. Wir haben noch ein paar weitere Prozesse zu erledigen, bevor die Rahmen fertig sind, wie z.B. das Glätten der Schweißnähte, das Auftragen unserer ModGlow-Lackierung und das Auftragen einer zusätzlichen Schicht kratzfester Farbe. Wir bekommen buchstäblich jeden Tag Teile und Komponenten geliefert, während wir uns der letzten Phase des Zusammenbaus der kompletten Bikes nähern, bevor sie verschickt werden. Wirklich aufregende Sachen und wir werden euch natürlich alle auf dem Laufenden halten, während wir mit Volldampf weitermachen!

PREISERHÖHUNG

Die nächste Woche bringt einen neuen Monat und wie geplant, eine weitere leichte Preiserhöhung für das Saigon. Unser derzeitiger Rabatt von 600 € wird auf 500 € reduziert. Das ist immer noch ein unglaublicher Wert und alle Vorbestell-Anreize bleiben bestehen. Also noch einmal, jetzt ist ein guter Zeitpunkt wie jeder andere, um euer Saigon mit einer vollständig rückzahlbaren Anzahlung noch heute zu reservieren!
